English Georgian-style black / gilt secretary desk / cabinet painted in traditional gold Chinoiserie decorations of nature, bridges, pagodas, florals, people with intricate patterns. It's a two parts cabinet. The upper part features a fold-down writing surface supported by two lopers and opens to reveal letter pockets and small drawers. The upper part also encases a wealth of drawers and pockets and florals on interior doors. The Secretary desk / Cabinet is very sturdy & in good condition. Minor wear consistent with age / use. It stands about 80" X 37" X 20".
